EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - The Eau Claire County Humane Association is announcing that Northwestern Bank has committed a $25,000 matching gift donation to the “Be the Voice” capital campaign.

According to ECCHA, the donation will be instrumental in the continued fundraising efforts for the new building, which is slated to begin construction in spring of 2023. The gift will be a matching gift throughout the remainder of 2022. For all donations received from Giving Tuesday on, Northwestern Bank will match dollar for dollar up to $25,000.00. Read more.

EAU CLAIRE LEADER TELEGRAM — The Eau Claire County Humane Association has already raised $5.6 million from large donors since mid-2021 for a new, larger animal shelter. With $900,000 yet needed for the $6.5 million project, the organization launched a fundraising campaign on Wednesday evening to seek the rest of the money from the community.

On Wednesday evening, the local organization launched its “Be the Voice” capital campaign to get that last piece of funding for its new $6.5 million facility.

VOLUME ONE: Since last June, the Eau Claire County Humane Association has been hard at work fundraising for a new, state-of-the-art facility, which will enhance the quality of care for the 1,500 to 2,000 animals seen each year. Thanks to private phase donors and the capital campaign leadership, the association’s effort is more than a year ahead of schedule. This spring, they are inviting the community to participate in the public phase of the campaign and be the voice for animals.
